Inspiring ALL children to be the best versions of themselves academically, socially and most importantly for every day life.

Hi, I’m Christina!

I am a special education teacher with 13 years of experience in working with children with exceptionalities. If you are looking for someone to help reach goals and objectives, collaborate with you to understand the special education process, tutor and more, I can help!

Services

Tutoring

This is for any child diagnosed with an exceptionality or is in the process of being identified in the special education process. Children can range from grades K-12th grade. This model is specifically designed for those children who need a little extra support on top of the supports they already have at school. This may include but is not limited to: homework help, IEP goal and objective target assignments and lessons, executive functioning and organizational skills assistance, social skills, behavioral skill focus and more. The tutoring model is specifically tailored to your child’s needs and can be modified and adapted as necessary.

Virtual Fitness

There is no doubt that children need fitness incorporated throughout their days. How great would it be to implement a 30 minute virtual fitness session for your child in between academics, or simply just when they need to move their bodies! I have been an athlete my entire life and have loved bringing fitness to children.

Remote Tutoring

This is for the student who wants to stay in the comfort of their own home and access tutoring remotely. This may include but not limited to access via Skype or FaceTime. Students may have goals set specifically to meet their needs and based on a more flexible schedule. During this time, the tutor will build relationships, meet the goals and objectives, social/ behavioral needs and more specifically individually tailored to your child’s needs.

IEP Consulting

We  specialize in helping families with the special education process in Connecticut and remotely.  Whether you need help with an IEP, 504, or basic understanding of special education teacher reports and more.  We can guide you to success!  We can simplify complicated issues, help you understand the process, and be a team player in the special education process!

What other parents say:

Christina is extremely knowledgeable, organized, easy to get in touch with and overall a great person. I was on the hunt for an in-person tutor for my 3 boys with different needs for the hybrid school platform. Christina coordinated an amazing tutor for us whom we love. Not only did the 3 of us plan curriculum and schedules together but she also reviewed my son’s IEP to make sure targets are being met and provided lots of materials to help enrich learning. Highly recommend!!!!

Christina is a great tutor. She works with both my sons. I have an ADHD and a spectrum child. Her abilities to connect with both of their needs is wonderful. She helps with organization skills and time management gives helpful study techniques. She has worked on life skills and basic function skills . Works well with the current education plans. The dreaded summer slide was avoided due to fun summer tutoring. We asked our son if he wanted to stop once school started and surprisingly he said No “I like going and she helps me.”

― Jen, Middle school parent

Our daughter has been working with Christina in various ways for the past several years. At first, Christina helped us understand our daughter’s challenges and advised us on how we could begin helping her at home. Next, Christina was a huge asset when it came time to navigate the unknown and confusing world of 504s and IEPs. It was fantastic to have someone with such knowledge and insight on our side. We went into every meeting fully informed, knowing what to ask for and expect. Finally, Christina’s tutoring has helped our daughter to not only reach but to exceed her IEP goals. We couldn’t be happier with all that Christina has done for our daughter (and for us). Christina is passionate about education, the Special Education process, and the rights of students with special needs. Most importantly, however, she deeply cares about her students.
